Home Page Search
| The home page search is a keyword-based search focusing on job title and location. Job title searches are peformed against the vacancy job title field and location searches are performed against the location and summary field. All searches are performed on an AND'ed basis so all search terms must be matched. i.e project manager will search for project AND manager. At least one of the criteria must be completed for the search to work. |

When your search is being performed, an animated visual indicator will be displayed to indicate that your search is taking place. When complete you will be taken to the search results page. All vacancies that meet your criteria will be displayed in reverse chronological order, with the most recent displaying first.

Advanced Search
The advanced search enables you to perform a more structured search of the vacancy data. It can be accessed by clicking on the 'Advanced Job Search' tab from the home page.
Job title searches are performed against the vacancy job title field and location searches are performed against the location and summary field.

Job Board Search
The Job Board Search is accessed from one of the tabs at the top of the home page. It comprises of a list of Job Board with direct links through to their website.

Job Agency Search
The Job Agency Search is accessed from one of the tabs at the top of the home page. It comprises of a list of Agencies with direct links through to their website. At the top of the list you have the ability to refine by region and sub-region.

The Employer Job Search is accessed from one of the tabs at the top of the home page. It comprises of a list of Employers with direct links through to their website. At the top of the list you have the ability to refine by region and sub-region.

Results
Having performed your search by whatever means, you will be taken to the search results page. The results will be displayed in reverse chronological order, with the most recent being displayed first but this may be overridden to display the results in relevance order by using the ordering filter found at the top of the screen.
The result page can hold a maximum of 10 vacancies per pay, if more than 10 vacancies have been found that match your criteria you can navigate the results by using the 'previous' and 'next' links, or by selecting a page from the page listing. Both of these options can be found at the base of the results.
If you have performed a keyword search, these keywords will be in bold.
If you wish to refine your search you can do so using the 'refine search' function at the top the the screen, this will take you into the advanced search the criteria will be pre-filled with the criteria used for your initial search but this can be overwritten if needed.
To view further information for a vacancy click on either the job title or the 'view further details' link, this will take you through to the vacancy details that are held on the originating job board.

CV Registration
To register your CV on to the Job Boards firstly click on the 'register CV' link and then select a job board. This will take you into the candidate registration area of that specific job board where you can fill in all your necessary details.

Jobs-By-Email
The Jobs-By-Email functionality will enable you to receive daily notifications via email advising you of the top 25 matches relating to your search criteria.
To use the email function you will firstly need to complete a search using either of the two methods descibed above. Once completed you will find the 'email me jobs like these' link at the top of the screen, by doing this the following form will be displayed;

The criteria will be pre-filled with the criteria used for your search but this can be overwritten if needed. Complete the form by adding a search name and your email address, and if required fill in any of the extra criteria fields that have displayed. Lastly, click 'save'.
You will be sent an email to confirm that you are happy to receive jobs-by-email, having clicked the confirmation link within the email you will be taken back to www.check4jobs.com. Your criteria will now be activated and included in your jobs-by-email searches for the next month.

RSS Feeds
Every search you make on Check 4 Jobs is available as a personalised RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed, to enable you to track new jobs.
It's quicker than revisiting the site several times a day to check for updates, and rather than having to look for new jobs within your search criteria, this RSS feed will scan for updates and display them for you.
To setup a feed firstly complete a search on the criteria that you want the feed to search on. Next click on the 'RSS' link that can be found at the top of the screen. This will take you to a the RSS Feed, to subscribe to the feed so that it automatically updates click on the 'subscribe to this feed' link. A new window will appear (see below), from this window you can change the feed name and also define which folder you want to place this feed into. Lastly click on the 'subscribe' link.
